| i was so saddened to hear about vaughn�s passing. even though we hadn�t been part of each other�s lives for a long time, there was always care, mutual respect, and appreciation there, and i will always be grateful for that.
he always carried such big ideas, big dreams, and a belief that life could become something extraordinary. that energy about him is something i�ll never forget.
i�m sending so much love to his family during this unimaginable time. i have always cared deeply for his mom, late father, and his brothers, and my heart is with all of them right now. i hope they can find some comfort in how deeply he was loved and how many lives you touched.
he will always hold a special place in my heart as my first love � funny, driven, endlessly hopeful, and always dreaming bigger than most people dared to.
the memories we shared will always be with me.

| i was blessed to know vaughn haynes during an important time in my life. while working for him, he showed me a kindness i will never forget. when i was commuting from harrisonburg to charlottesville, he opened his home to me and made sure i was taken care of. that generosity spoke deeply to the kind of man he was.
vaughn was strong, wise, and carried a presence that made people feel safe. he was someone you respected naturally. he looked after people, stood firm, and lived with a courage that left an impression on everyone around him. he was truly one of a kind.
my heart is with the haynes family as they carry this unimaginable loss, especially so soon after the passing of his father. may the love of family, friends, and the many lives vaughn touched bring comfort and strength in the days ahead. he will be remembered with deep respect. | ADAM GRAHAM
